S Thistlegorm – History Beneath the Waves

Resting at 30 meters, the SS Thistlegorm is more than a dive — it’s a journey through time. This British WWII cargo ship was sunk in 1941 by German bombers and now lies perfectly preserved on the seabed. Inside, you’ll find military trucks, motorcycles, rifles, and even train carriages, all slowly being claimed by vibrant coral and marine life. Schools of batfish, trevallies, and lionfish patrol its decks, making it an unforgettable dive that fuses history, emotion, and nature.

Abu Nuhas Shipwrecks – The Wreck Graveyard

One reef, four wrecks, countless stories. Abu Nuhas is a wreck diver’s paradise where ships met their fate on the shallow reef:

• Giannis D – Famous for its dramatic tilt and engine room penetration, it’s a hotspot for photographers and divers alike.

• Carnatic – A graceful 19th-century sailing ship with open rib structures, now blanketed in soft coral and swarmed by glassfish.

• Chrisoula K – The “Tile Wreck,” where you can still see stacks of ceramic tiles inside. A beautifully lit wreck dive.

• Kimon M – Deeper and more advanced, this “Lentil Wreck” is home to large groupers, snappers, and dense coral gardens.

Each wreck tells its own story — and together they make Abu Nuhas one of the Red Sea’s most compelling dive sites.

Ras Mohammed National Park – Egypt’s Underwater Crown Jewel

At the tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Ras Mohammed delivers some of the most dramatic diving in the Red Sea. Protected, thriving, and full of surprises, it offers:

• Shark Reef & Yolanda Reef – Twin pinnacles with dizzying walls that plunge into the blue, teeming with snapper schools, barracudas, and trevallies, plus the sunken cargo of a wrecked freighter — including toilets!

• Anemone City – A colorful slope densely populated with clownfish, anemones, and shimmering soft corals. A peaceful but mesmerizing dive.

Expect strong currents, clear visibility, and marine life at every level — from the smallest blenny to pelagic giants.

Dunraven Wreck – Coral Meets Iron

Lying upside down at the base of Beacon Rock, the Dunraven is a 19th-century steamship that now serves as an artificial reef. Easy to explore and rich in marine life, it’s ideal for all levels. Peer into its broken hull to see lionfish, nudibranchs, and blue-spotted stingrays weaving through the coral-laced beams. Atmospheric and full of character.

Kingston Wreck & Shag Rock – Shallow History

Located near Sha’ab Ali, the Kingston is a smaller wreck sitting at just 15 meters, making it a great option for less experienced divers. Over the years, it’s become beautifully encrusted with hard and soft coral. Look closely for glassfish, pipefish, and macro creatures hiding in the shadows. The nearby reef of Shag Rock complements the dive with its colorful coral formations and frequent sightings of turtles.

Gubal Island & Ulysses Wreck – Night Dive Favorite

Gubal Island is a sheltered anchorage known for its calm conditions, stunning sunsets, and excellent night diving. The Ulysses, a British steamer from the 1800s, sits shallow at around 10 meters. With easy access and gentle current, it’s ideal for beginner wreck divers and perfect for night dives, when lionfish, moray eels, and octopuses come out to hunt.

Sha’ab El Erg (Dolphin Reef) – Joy in Every Bubble

This horseshoe-shaped reef is famous for its resident pods of spinner dolphins, who sometimes surprise divers and snorkelers alike with playful swims. The dive itself offers a gentle slope of vibrant coral gardens, butterflyfish, and blue-spotted rays. It’s a peaceful and magical site — ideal for your check dive or as a relaxing final immersion to end your trip on a high note.
