Brothers & North Route Liveaboard: Wrecks, Reefs & Pelagic Dreams
Embark on a thrilling 7-day Red Sea liveaboard that takes you through Egypt’s most iconic northern dive sites—from historic shipwrecks to wild pelagic encounters at the legendary Brothers Islands. This route is the perfect mix of adventure, history, and marine biodiversity, designed for certified divers eager to explore deeper, go further, and dive harder.
Whether it’s swimming through cargo holds of sunken WWII vessels or watching hammerheads glide past steep reef walls, the Brothers & North Route promises unforgettable underwater moments every single day.
Highlights of the trip
The Brothers Islands – Red Sea’s Wild Frontier
Remote, raw, and wildly beautiful — The Brothers (Big Brother and Little Brother) rise from the depths in the middle of the Red Sea, far from the mainland. These isolated pinnacles are magnets for big pelagics, attracting schooling hammerheads, thresher sharks, oceanic whitetips, and massive tuna and barracuda. Their vertical walls are coated in colorful soft corals, gorgonians, and dense anthias clouds. The currents are strong, the topography dramatic, and the shark encounters up-close and unforgettable. A true adventure for experienced and advanced divers seeking the wild heart of the Red Sea.
SS Thistlegorm – Dive Through Time
Often called the most iconic wreck in the world, the SS Thistlegorm is a British WWII cargo ship sunk in 1941. Now lying at 30 meters, it’s a surreal blend of history and marine life. Swim past trucks, motorcycles, rifles, and even train carriages, all perfectly preserved in time. The wreck is now colonized by soft corals, glassfish, and curious groupers. Every turn reveals a new relic or a hidden creature. Whether you’re a history buff or a reef enthusiast, this dive never fails to amaze.
Abu Nuhas Wrecks – The Red Sea’s Ship Graveyard
Four wrecks, one reef, countless stories. Abu Nuhas is a legendary wreck diving site that offers something for everyone.
Giannis D: A leaning freighter with a maze-like engine room, perfect for photography.
Carnatic: A skeletal 19th-century vessel encrusted with coral and alive with glassfish.
Chrisoula K (Tile Wreck): The hold still contains ceramic tiles — a striking, well-lit dive.
Kimon M (Lentil Wreck): A deeper dive full of schooling fish and eerie swim-throughs.
All four are home to colorful soft corals, macro life, and the occasional moray eel or blue-spotted stingray. A playground for wreck lovers and underwater explorers.
Ras Mohammed National Park – Nature’s Masterpiece
Located at the southern tip of Sinai, Ras Mohammed is a crown jewel of Egyptian marine reserves. Its steep walls and nutrient-rich currents support thriving coral reefs and impressive biodiversity.
Shark Reef & Yolanda Reef: Dive between towering pinnacles teeming with snapper, jacks, barracuda, and sometimes grey reef sharks. Don’t miss the quirky sunken toilets and bathtubs from a shipwrecked cargo.
Anemone City: A vibrant plateau dotted with clownfish and soft corals — calm, colorful, and perfect for macro photography.
Expect great visibility, adrenaline-pumping drifts, and unforgettable scenes on every dive.
Sha’ab El Erg (Dolphin Reef) – A Gentle Goodbye
This crescent-shaped reef near El Gouna is a favorite for its peaceful diving and friendly spinner dolphins, who are often seen playing near the boats. Underwater, you’ll find colorful hard corals, parrotfish, wrasses, and gentle slopes ideal for check dives, snorkeling, or relaxed last-day immersions. Its beauty lies in its simplicity — a place to reconnect with the joy of diving.
